Assuming you have stock heads, you'll need to run a .040 gasket and get the heads to 62cc (which would mean milling the heads ~.030) to get 11.3 SCR. And from searching it looks as if the vindicator has a 72.5 IVC, which with the 11.3 SCR puts you at 8.4 DCR.

Yes you can go to 8.7 on 93, this is where my setup is. But you may run into piston/valve issues depending on how much you have to mill the heads to get it there and the duration of the cam.

Yeah, is what matters. You could just shave a little more off the heads, maybe run a few thousandths smaller head gasket. Measure how far the piston is out of the hole and just order a gasket to give you .030 quench.

I don't know anything about the vindicator, and you may have PTV issues. If I were you I would worry about getting a good quench height. Then have a cam custom ground for your specs and to get the DCR where you want it.

Assumptions:
Pistons .007 above the deck
Flycut pistons with 1cc volume

62cc heads, 3.910/.040 head gasket

59cc heads, 3.910/.040 head gasket

59cc heads, 3.930/.053 head gasket

My motor is completely stock right now. Here's what I was looking to install

TFS heads 64cc (will mill if needed)
.040 cometic gaskets
Vengence VRX3 camshaft 226/228 .585/.588 112

Not sure what other numbers you need. I was hoping to get SCR at 11.25:1 and DCR to at least 8.5. Or somewhere in this ballpark

Assumpitons:
1. Pistons .007 ABOVE the deck
2. Flat top pistons, i.e. NO valve reliefs
3. VRX3 camshaft has 0 advance/retard ground in, i.e. ICL = 112, IVC = 69.5

64cc heads, 3.910/.040 gasket:

62cc heads, 3.910/.040 gasket: (This gets you to your 11.25:1 static CR goal)

Hey, thanks alot I appreciate that. Couple of questions. Those heads come with 7.5" pushrods, after the .040 cometics and the milling what size would I need then? Also, do you know if that VRX3 would perform better if it had 2 degrees of advance ground in?

I always measure pushrod length and advise everyone to do the same. Ron Vengance would know this better than I.

You would be best served asking the cam designer. Advancing the cam increases low end power, while retarding increases top end power. It's a delicate trade-off that really depends on your intended use and overall combination.
