i seen a truck that fades from a dark teal metallic into a metallic silver. just curious if anyone has pics of a paint job like that. and how is it done? i dont have to tape anything off right? just try to keep the area where it fades as small as possible? i might do this to one of my cars. like my 87 mustang gt. have the top black and the bottom dark blue and have it fading.

not that. i mean one that is maybe grey on the bottom and and blue on the top..and right in the middle is where they fade into each other instead of a straight line (taped off)

I'll have to vote hell no for it. Fade paintjobs are hideous. I've done 1 fade job having to blend the color into the adjacent panels to make it match(collision work) and they're actually pretty fun to do. It was on an 88-98 silverado, emerald green on top, black on bottom. I shot the green first, then faded in the black, and came back over the fade area with green again to blend it all together.
