LS6 Intake Install Help Today? -Houston
I started my LS6 intake install today hoping I was going to have help but the help can not come today and I already have a good amount of the stuff taken off. My biggest fear is snapping the oil pressure sending unit. Can anyone please come to I10 and shepherd in the Heights possibly right now for some extra cash. It should be a 20 minute job if you have done the intake swap before since I already have so much done. 832-492-4331. Thanks

Guess I found it on Autozones website. It says 3-5 days shipping. Special order! Anyone know where I can get one today?
Also how much is the tool to get it out?
And under my intake was full of dirt and grime but I do not see how I would be able to clean it.

Got the 2 units in all of Houston and bought the socket. Going to try and finish tonight or in the morning.
If anyone wants some cash to come and assist me with putting it all back on please call my number above. Thanks
And 6thz28 I will let you know once I am done. As of right now, it was not THAT hard just a PITA.
Also does anyone know anything about the PCV rubber hoses that run behind the intake, one feeds out next to the intake attached to the valve cover on the driver side, mine snapped in 2, wondering if tape would work to keep them together?

BIG THANKS to WHITE98Z!!
Thanks man for coming by so late and helping out. Now I can say I have done my 1st LS6 intake swap. And I only broke ONE oil pressure sending unit. WAHOO.
After you left, I got my chain cutter out and broke the lock on the cage to get the drill. Drilled out the holes for the EGR block off plate and she runs like a champ!!
And thanks to those that helped me above and to the one guy that called me earlier from Dallas, thanks!

When reinstalling the intake, I put the unit in before the intake, then put the intake in and worked the brake booster hose behind the unit. Even after all is installed, the brake booster line runs directly behind the unit almost pushing against it, so if you do not make an effort to move the intake to the left then it will snap it off. I would count on getting an extra just in case. In Houston Autozone only had mine as a special order item, yet I found an Orielly's about 20 mins away that had 2 in stock so I bought 2. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Thanks

Hey man! I would like to know more about the install, did you get new gaskets, coolant tubes? Or what else did you need besides the LS6 intake to do the install? Thats an upgrade I will be doing later this year, I would really appreciate any pics, links, or info on what I would need to get besides the intake. Thanks in advance for any help.
