Default 3.8 to LS1 or LS2

i have a 1998 camaro with a 3.8L V6 and a 700r4 tranny. i'm lookin to put a LS1 or 6.0L LS2 i need to know what is needed to make the transformation. i'm pretty sure i'll need a tranny, a new ECU and wiring harrness. i don't know if i'll need rear end, suspension or what so if anyone out theres got advice i'd really appreciate it. it's my first big project so i'm lookin for all the help i can get lol. but for real anyone got any suggestions. thanx

you should be able to just use the same tranny, cause 3.8 and v8 have the same tranny bolt pattern.
rear end is also the same, except yours is probably just a one wheeler. look for G80 in the option codes to see if it has a posi.
as for wiring, i am not sure as i havent had the luxury of tinkering with a 4th gen yet.
