most people only have experience with 2, maybe 3 intakes at the most. most of us would be basing our opinion on what we've read. also, most people would put the FAST above all the others.. the only real debate IMO seems to be BBK or LS6.

I agree, BBK is debatable along with the weiand because of heatsoak issues. P/Ping an LS1 intake would be a complete waste of time and energy; and an LS6 is your best bang for the buck mod.

For most, the LS6 intake is all that is necessary. The LS2 is junk and is poorly built. The FAST would be best is you have more CI/H/C

Have to agree w/this list as we have experiance w/all. The LS2 ported does work very well w/FI applications & the only reason we use it over the LS6 is it uses our 90mm TB. For NA applications the LS6 on bolt-ons & the ported FAST 90 beats all comers period.

Thanks for the links. I have been searching & haven't found a link comparing the LS6 to the LS2. There isn't one in the stickies. Maybe the moderators can add these links. Granted, different set-ups & tuning may yield different results. However, I've seen enough to axe my LS2 intake. We were going to run a comparison against my Weiand in the Spring, but, I see no need to do so now.

My ported LS2 would be top on your list. It outflows a FAST 90 anyday.

Let's see the numbers. My LS2 is ported & internally filled & smoothed for maximum efficiency. However, I haven't seen evidence to prove that it out flows even an LS6. Further, I have seen dyno sheets that actually show a loss in torque & power early on in the run (low RPM). I would be very interested in your data. Please post more information. Thanks

http://www.tpis.com/plog/index.php?o...Id=14&blogId=1

This is a what I based my decision on to send my ls6 intake off to tpis to make it a 90mm with a 90 tb.
NOW If I had a ls1 intake I would spend the money on the fast because in the end if you buy a ls6 intake for 400 or so and send it off in the ends its the same caust as a FAST.
Another thing is if you plan on using nitrous and how much if you plan on alot get a strong intake thats not going to blow up the Fasts have been know to do that even though they are alot stonger than the ls6, But somthing made of Aluminum would be a good choice if you were planing on alot of nitrous.

LS6- Good flow
FAST - Better flow

I had an LS6 with a ported stock TB. We ported a LS2 and put an out of the box 90mm TB on and the car went .15 faster in worse DA than the last track outting. My car is more consistent than any other car I have seen too. Within thousandths of a second every pass.

A ported LS2 makes more power than a out of box Fast. Do a search I've had this argument to many times already. But hay what do I know I don't have 2k post but only run 9's N/A.

I know this is a stupid question, but can a stock LS2 Intake bolt on a LS1?

Yes it can. I have one on mine. You need the LS2 rails and injector o-rings, and a throttle body spacer with the cable bracket. I got mine from SDPC. And then of course a 90mm throttle body.
