Default Finally getting close to completion-pics

After 3 years we [Tom (2001ws6vert) and I] should have our DR/Limited Street entry ready to shakedown this spring. The car is out for paint right now and I figured I would put up a few pics of the power plant. It's just a starter motor and should be capable of mid-low 8's once we are brave enough to push it that hard!

Before you ask, the motor is a W2W LS2 with a 94mm turbo. This is my 3rd and Tom's 2nd W2W motor and we expect it to perform as always-perfect!

We will still be running around with the Ohio Boys this year, except now we will be shaking a car down, learning to drive and tuning this thing. Should be fun. We have not posted much about this car for the past couple years, but as it goes together I will put up a few more pics.

Thanks Kyle (Na$ty-TA)for hosting the pics!

Mark

That looks awesome! What made you decide to do the exhuast that way? Wouldn't that kind of add some extra weight vs. one DP and muffler?

Actually not much at all, the extra muffler probably weighs about 5lbs and the exhaust pipes under the fenders are transitioned into aluminum. We are likely way light for most DR classes anyway.

As for why...Tom came up with the idea and I liked it. We realize the "Y" may create a bit of a restriction but we both have a couple show cars and could not resist. I have seen lots of set-ups, all very different that are all very fast. It will still be plenty fast for us...we are not chasing records and wins to the extent some are, we just looking to have fun for now. We'll see how it goes this year and decide if we push it in the next year or so.

Thanks for all the nice comments....for now it's the only thing that starts to heal the wounds of a ton of $ and about 950 hours of work over the last 3 years.

Mark
