Default help please

well i went to the track last night. after my first pass i noticed that it sounded like somethin was rattling around in the motor. started out quiet but then got really loud. then the motor wouldnt even turn over. anyone have ideas of what it might be? bent valve, broken rod? i have no clue. the car still had oil pressure.

Sounds more like a broken rod to me. If it won't turn over that's bad news.

the run he did he spent most of the time in the rev limitor (sounded like an Srt--4 or evo pass in the beg of the run). He got back to the pits went to do another run started it and sounded like there was a bolt loose in his motor, turned it off started it again and the noise was not there at all, he gave it a little rev and boom could hear it again. Turned the car off and next time he went to crank it , it cranked like the timing was extremely advanced. After that you never really tried tried to start it it would have if you turned it over and gave it some gas, but at that point the safer bet is to leave it alone then see what would happen if you kept on trying. I think its somethign in the top end of the motor the way the run was, at the time wasnt even thinking of spun bearing

i had 4 spun rod bearings 3 piston rings fried and pistons slapping back and forth on the cylinder walls and i still had up to 80psi oil pressure. couldnt get the car to idle but it would run at about 4500 anything under it,it would choke

lol u must already think im the biggest nitrous hater in the world by now...you kno i just have alot of experiance with it...and trust me it only takes one time to blow the **** outta it...my last forged motor went to **** on a 150shot..it doesnt matter if its a 50 shot or a 500 shot its just as dangerous to the motor.

Nitrous is like a hot *** girl with herpes..you want to hit it but your afraid of the consequences.
