Default turbo mounting location possible problem?

so my plan is to mount the big ole 88M turbo where my battery used to be which would mean that the driver side exhaust pipe would be longer than the passenger side when they merge into the t6 flange. now would this be inefficient as it would take longer for the driver side exhaust to reach the turbo compared to the passenger side? i see a lot of people that go the single turbo route are mounting them right in front of the motor with equal length piping to the turbo and do not want to do mine that way.

You'll be fine with it mounted over where the battery was. Plenty of people run them over there with zero issues.

as far as pipe length as long as they merge before the turbo i dont see this being an issue. The exhuast is still going the same way. It might be a very small restriction but cant be that big of a deal.
If you were doing a twin setup it would be more of a deal if they were not equal length because 1 turbo would spool before the other.

Im not a expert, but from what ive read you will be fine.

Good luck, should be awsome. Chris

You will be fine, every single turbo setup ive done and 2 different length pipes, with the common plenum before the turbo-it will never know.

My turbo is where the battery used to go and I haven't had a problem with it at all.
