Default TR227 Xtreme

227/227 .639/.639 116 LSA.

I was almost set on just going with TR224 114LSA and then this caught my eyes. Does anyone have this cam? Will it be very much high RPM oriented? I actually want high-end oriented cam that has perfect daily drivability since my RX-7 is really light at 2700~2800lbs... so I don't really need as much low-end torque as you guys. I currently have Trex cam(bought the car with it) but that cam is just unbreable for everyday driving... I have LS6 block and heads with necessary upgrades to accomodate Trex... the heads are not ported. Emissions is also a concern for me, but I guess I should pass with a good tune, right?

Anyway, tell me what you think about this cam. I think that is about the largest I'd be willing to go as I have very low tolerance for sacrifice in daily drivability. Thanks in advance!

The lobes on that cam are very aggressive, they recommend Comp 921 springs. There are trade offs on picking a cam. I'll bet this cam will give great performance numbers. The downside is wear and tear on the valvetrain. If your car is a daily driver I would go with something with less aggressive lobes.
