want to swap ls1 6spd in 79 camaro ok i want to swap an ls1 6spd into my 79 camaro. what all do i need and is there and websites that sell the conversion parts that i would need? any help will be great. and if anyone knows where to get and ls1 6spd for a good price i need it. thanks. im also planning to do the same swap in my 74 corvette. so any info on that would also help.

Every project is alittle different, but you are in luck, second gens have been done. While ours was a first gen, a lot of what you will need can be found in our spreadsheet ( http://hosted.filefront.com/67rsss ). Also, do a search for some of the second gen swaps to get a feel for what is involved with you subframe. You will be very happy when you get this running.

Send an email to me at jeff_dauderman@yahoo.com. I can show you what I did to install a LQ9 in my 1978 trans am. I have some drawings for the motor mounts and a list of parts that I used. I also have an extra set of headers for this swap if you are interested.
