I have a 99 Z28 that is a non factory color at this moment and needs painting. I plan to paint it very soon. What factory color would look the best? It has factory C5 Z06 wheels on it.I'm thinking about Navy Blue Metalic

it depends. are you wanting to return it to a factory color? and what are your favorite colors? I'm guessing something kinda dark? (since NBM is a dark but pretty)

I'm looking at going back to a factory color. I like hugger orange but a local guy already has one that color. I've just about narrowed it down to NBM or SOM . I plan on having it painted in the next 2 months plus a 6 speed swap, and possibly headers.

The car was actually a dark purple color. I'm not sure on the exact name. I' really starting to think SOM after looking at all the pics on here.

that dark purple color was a factory color and is pretty rare actually. Medium blue metallic is nice and rare as well, as well as sunset orange metallic, but mystic teal green has all of the bst fbody colors in it combined. Blue/green/purple/navy blue. Its a nice color but you have to like dark green to really enjoy every aspect of it. Either way paint it a rare color and you'll enjoy the fact that no fbody within a thousand mile radius has once just like your's. Navy blue is rare around my area but you will see one or two that are that color. I'd say do it some other color navy blue is too close to black and its a pain in the *** to maintain, you see all the scratches in the paint and the dark fbodies gets WAY toooo dirty the second you wash and drive it on the street. Good luck on the choice just dont paint it lambo green

Don't go with SOM if it is not your first choice (I would like to keep mine as rare as possible).

NBM is a great color. If that is what you really want I say go for it. Just be sure to get what you will enjoy the most. Not what other people like.
