Default P/S Pump, Am I missing something??

I have a power steering pump that came with my engine but the return port does not have any kind of fitting on it. I went to a dealer and their pics are not clear. They sell a clamp on hose but my pump just has a recessed port with no threads or a way to connect the line. Is there some kind of pressed in connector for a hose for that port? If so, does anyone have an old pump with one that I can buy? Thanks

The pump should have a small plastic barb on it. If it doesn't, it may have been damaged. The pressure side (on an F-body pump) is on the water pump side and is a 16mm 1.5 o-ring fitting, the return (low pressure) is just a plastic hose barb on the opposite side.

Thanks for the info. I guess the hose barb just presses in somehow.

Ihave the pressure side hooked up but I don't have a hose barb. I'll place a WTB ad. Thanks.

You may want to run over to your local recycler and pick up a used pump and swap the resevoir. You can see where the plastic barb is hooked up here...

The hose you see is attached to the return barb.
