I am looking for a capable part time track car retaining street driveability. I am not looking to compete, just play in some open club events at a local track (www.harrishillroad.com) here in central texas.

Basically, I am more interested in a durable car with finished suspension/brake/chassis mods. The more complete and extensive modded, the better. It needs to handle flat, corner hard, and stand up to some abuse.

I am most interested in a M6 foremost. I prefer LS1 but the right LT1 will do.

I am not looking for a $15K+ dedicated stripped out road racer.

Minor cosmetic issues are ok, as are minor mechanical issues. If the trans, rear or engine is shot, it needs to be cheap for my interest to peak. But if the CAR fits the bill, and these are out of service, that is ok as long as the price is reasonable and the car is close.

I am not at the moment looking for a stock M6 F-body unless the price is right: i.e. high miles, low price, etc. (i.e. room in my budget to add on suspension and brakes and keep the total cost down).

I have a lsx swapped 2nd gen (90) rx7 with 6 speed that would work wonderfully for what it sounds like you're after. I built it for the same reasons and now have a hankering for something I can take the kids out in and still have fun. My not be what you're after and it may be a bit higher than you want to go.... but it needs very little to be ready for the road course as it has a cage, coilovers, brakes, bushings, sticky tires on wide wheels etc. It is not stripped at all and is very much a street car. Never had dynoed , but this thing is nice, I have no doubt that if you ride in it you will be satisfied. Never been sprayed and only went to the track once, but could not get a good enough pass to get a good time. (wheel hopping)

I do have other stuff like draglites and tires and Nitrous if wanted not included. I can also take some of the stuff off if you want it removed to lower the price.
I will post pics as time go on.
