Default Anyone else blow out freeze plugs?

Lately I've been noticing tell-tale signs of head gasket failure, and I think this is the clincher.

Last night after racing a C6, I heard steam escaping from the back of the engine (everything that goes wrong with my car seems to be way back there!).
I found out later that water was gushing out of the rear freeze plug on the back of the driver's side head.

The obvious reason is a blown head gasket on that side, causing boost pressure to creep past the gasket and into the cooling system. I'm sure it's worse than that, because I've noticed my catch cans are filling up fast, meaning pressure in the crank case. That may be rings though. I'll find out tonight when I pull both heads .

Has anyone else with FI had this happen?
