Exclamation help me build an ls1 powered s14 240sx!!!!

Alright so heres the story I've had my share of all types of cars 4,6,8 cyl
turbo/supercharged nitrous etc both foreign and domestic and really love the looks of the jap cars but hate the prices for engine parts and downtime...
I love the simplicity brute power and quality involved with an american v8..
Cant beat the sound nor performance!!!!at all!!!!

Ok so I am a big time fan of the lsx series engines after being spanked horribly
by a few f-bodies and a couple of vettes in my old 97 240sx...Went from ka24
to sr20 to eventually to rb25...And could never get it fast enough and reliable enough to suit my needs.....After my jealousy engulfed me from reading my fellow ls1 tech brothers postings I have to have one!!!!
So out with the old and in with the new....Aiming for 500 rwhp ls14 monster

I would like to be able to buy most of the parts premade thru a catalog etc!!!

I will be picking up a 94-97 s14 nissan 240sx se and plan on dropping in a ls1 w t56....I hear that the 2002 equipped models are best but have a smaller cam?Whats the best yr ls1 engine/t56 trans?

So from what I hear the r33 skyline rb25 gts-t equipped model crossmember is best suited for dropping in an ls1...Is that true?

Then comes the motor mounts...From what I've read here most ppl use
sbc mounts w lsx adaptors?...whats the best mounts to use?

Then goes the exhaust manifold....I read that c5 vette shorties with a little trimming works rather well?.....Any suggestion

Then goes the wiring....Can I just grab the engine harness/pcm necessary relays from the donor car and eliminate what I need...Yes I know painless sells a kit but I dont want to spend $1k if I dont have to,,,,
What exactly from the donor car do I need as far as that goes?

Then goes the accessories etc....What do I need to have pwr steering/a.c?

Then for the fuel delivery?Any reccomendations? What is the stock ls1 fuel system good for?Regardless I plan on adjustable fpr and a 255 lph walpro...
I do intend on turboing it along the lines....

What about cooling? The stock radiator isnt even good enough to cool a moped,,....so what do you guys think? I've had good luck with koyo and griffin
What about oil coolers/trans cooler?

The drive shaft.....Obviously custom.....

What about the stock s14 se vlsd rear end?I hear its good till 700hp?B.s???
Then I hear the j30 rear end is quite popular as well what do you guys run?

Anthing I missed out let me know ok ????

Any pics, prices reccomendations thecarguy84@live.com, Thanx Dru

Dude I hate to say it, but just search a little. Look at some of the guys build threads. Its all in there.. Your prob. going to need to make custom mounts, headers etc. Or go with Hinson, or some other guy on here that makes an install kit (mounts headers etc. for like 1300$)

Just get a painless hotrod harness, or send your harness to one of the guys here and he will make it work for ya aka speartech I think.

Just search the 240 build threads its all in there and good luck.

Josh

Default Ok thanx

Actually I have read just about every swap thread this site has and that is what pushed me into wanting to build my own.....I just wanted to hear from people with first hand experience what they did and what they would have changed if they did it again......But thanx for the info.....
