Default rocker arms

OK, so everyone is telling me that i need to replace the rockers on my LS1 because of the needle bearings in my oil pan... so i can get rockers and replace them just fine, but how do i know what to buy that will fit under my stock valve covers and will be a nice power adder for a descent price... i've already looked at yella terra, but i would like more opinions. i've looked at a couple GM Performance rockers and noticed some of them say "will not fit with stock valve cover" so how will know which rockers will fit when i am shopping online if it doesn't say one way or the other? is there a certain measurment i should be looking for?

the vinci/crane 1.8 rockers gave me 17 rwhp on the stock cam and stock tune. they fit under stock valve covers.

realize that if you swap to higher ratio rockers...you also have to swap springs.

they are NOT a simple bolt on....not hard if you kknow what you're doing...and have the tools. but not easy either.

search around...one of the companies ( i think yella terra) offers "upgrades" to stock rockers. little more cost effective.

i'm not aware that any of the higher lift rockers interfere with the covers. although i did have to clearance a little for my HS 1.7s...mostly just excess casting along the inside edge of the head-valve cover gasket surface. nothing 5 mins with a hand file couldn't solve.

Harland sharp will rebuild your stockers for $225 and eliminate the needle bearing issue. YT Ultra lights are very nice but around $380-$400

Check this out, used stockers with low miles on them. Seems like a good deal:

i havn't installed them yet but i'm gonna be running PRW 1.7 rockers. they look just like the crane ones. you can get the whole kit with studs, pr guides, hardened pr's, poly locks and rockers for around $389 and they offer 1.8's too. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/838849-prw-rockers.html
