Hey, finally decided on the 6.0 truck engine. I'm picking it up today and plan on the install it in the next month or so. I'm going to change the cam, springs, pushrods, lifters, timing set, oil pump and possibly the intake. I may try to pick up a ls6 intake with injector, fuel rails. I just don't like the looks of the truck intake since I show my truck. I hope to get around 400 hp when its all said and done. Probably a set of shorty headers to finish up. I've talked to several shop abouth building the harness and reflashing the computer. If anyone that has done the swap in a mid 90 chevy short bed, let me know. I know I'm going to need motor mount plates with an offset. What about the air conditioner pump, it sets really low and I don't know if it will clear the cross member and frame? Any suggestions, fire them off and lets hear them.
