Default 08 College Football Recruiting

National Signing Day is Wednesday!

The Top 10 Recruiting classes look like this according to Scout.com

Alabama
Notre Dame
Georgia
Texas A&M (WTF?)
Miami
Florida State
LSU
Florida
UCLA
Washington

According to Rivals.com the list looks like this

Florida
Notre Dame
Alabama
Georgia
Oklahoma
Florida State
Miami
Ohio State
LSU
USC

I think the Rivals.com list is a bit more accurate. How can TAMU have the 4th best recruiting class with 0 5-Star Recruits?? There are some other examples but whatever.

On both lists Texas is in the 11 spot.

There are still some big name recruits that haven't said where they are likely to go. Terrelle Pryor, Darrell Scott (Looking at UT, which would probably put them on the Top 10 lists if they can get him signed), Julio Jones, and Josh Jenkins are the biggest names that haven't picked a school yet. Guess we'll find out in the next few days!

Its not always about 5 star recruits but really the number of quality 4 and 3 star recruits! And A&M definitely has that!
I would expect nothing less after OWNING Texas the past 2 years!

The Aggies do have some solid 4 Star and 3 Star recruits coming in, but I think they'll need to recruit some 5 Star players before they become a national powerhouse, but it certainly does look like they're turning things around up there in CS.

Should be a good 08 Season!

I am a member of Rivals too.....Its down to 3 Bama, FSU, and Oklahoma. No one actually knows where he is headed. There is ALOT of speculation for each team, but right now its anyone's guess. He was seen this weekend at Bama's basketball game and it just happened to be thier junior day as well....so I think if he made the effort to go to thier junior day, thats where he is headed, not to mention he is from Alabama. Yes I am an obsessed college football fan, I haven't found a 12 step program for it yet!

I'm glad to see that even with all the coaching change that we can at least get some really good recruits in there..but the SEC just looks absolutely MEAN! hands down the toughest football conference out of them all, and Georgia looks like they might make a run for that nat'l championship next year.
