Sounds more like a fan hitting a shroud.

I'm sure it's not the fans. It's coming from the engine. It's so loud I can't tell where exactly it's coming from. Mostly the center

Try a stethoscope, it might help you locate it. My buddy had some piston slap and we located it to a specific cylinder.

Sounds like it's coming from the top end/lifter to me, but it's always hard to judge from a video. If you had a rod knock that bad you would have lots of shavings in your oil.

that definately sounds like rod nock... the "clunking" at least that I heard slightly in the begginning of the video...

the tapping noise sounds more like a valve or something hitting the pistons...

I recentley just spun a bearing and had some rod knock coming from the center. It sounded JUST like that... cept i didn't have the tapping noise that you have... So i'm thinking you have a couple problems... not just the one...

once we pulled my engine, we found out not only did i have a spun bearing, but all my valves hit all my pistons as well... which i would think would make that noise we are hearing in your video...

keep us updated

P.S. my engine eventually started shaking really bad after a few dyno runs as well... like once it got heated up real well from some abuse... but contrary to what 5.3Jimmy said, I didn't have any shavings in my oil at all...

Damn that sounds nasty... it's not valvetrain noise that's for sure.

This isn't my car, we just took the video of it while it was still on the trailer. I also think it's a rod. It sounds really deep down in the engine. I guess the owner thought it was a pushrod so he put new pushrods in. I told him that I think we need to pull the K member and drop the pan so I'll see what he wants to do..
