A few pics from HRP 2-1-08
Here are a few pics taken by Scott Singleton @ HRP Friday night 2-1-08. The green 98 Z28 is my old ugly 121K mile bolt-on car that needs some paint work. Made five passes total with the best being a 12.157 @ 110.09 w/1.662 60ft. Hoping to get a 12.0 or 11.999 with just bolt-ons and then do my heads & cam. In the launch pic I was getting the driver wheeel up an inch or so.
The white car is "Archoverseer" Chris's 2000 F-body with the new hood he bought from me. Scott got a good pic of his burnout on his second pass. Just thought i would post them up.

nice pics. the new hood looks clean on dude's car. just curious man, what all have you replaced on the '98 as far as factory stuff? apparently it still runs strong. i just hit 90k so i'm trying to gauge how much i'm going to be spending on maintenance over the next couple years

Actually i have'nt replaced too much at all. Only real maintenance item has been the alternator. Of course, I have swapped out the torque converter and put in the Vig 3600 and also swapped out the entire rearend with a 3:42 from a 6spd car. Other than the lid,LS6 intake, ported TB, QTP LTs & 3" ORY, and SLP dual/dual SS catback thats about all I have done to it. Other than bolting on the intake, the engine has never had a valve cover off of it or any major issue. It has run a best of 12.13 @ 110.40 with about the same 1.66-1.67 60ft time. I still have an underdrive pulley I could install and waiting to put on my stage 2 GTP LS6 heads and Patrick G custom grind cam.

Yes , actually it was fine. When I installed the Vig 3600 conv, I went ahead and changed out the tranny also. I forgot to mention that, I had purchased a low milage 02 LS1 engine & tranny a couple of years ago to do the heads & cam to and was gonna replace the entire engine & tranny when the time came. But, figured if I had the tranny dropped to install the conv I might as well put the low mile tranny in. When you get older you get a little smarter or lazier, or both
