I believe my LS1 has a rodknock..
Just started tonight.. Definately sounds more distinct than your average sewing machine type noises...
does anyone have a video of a LS1 rod knock?
Also, What are my options on repairing it if its a bad rod bearing..
Is it a possiblity of dropping the pan and putting new ones in, or am I due for a full bottom end rebuild?
Is there any budget builds that I can get this car running again quickly and maybe have some more displacment(Im out of a job right now so I cant dump allot of cash right now)

if its spun get your crank cut(200-400) or get a reman'ed crank, resize the big end of the rod (15-40) not sure if you can with a cracked style rod, new arp rod bolts (75-80)and a new set of rod bearings(25) should do you.
If its not spun check your clearances with plastigage and you might get away with new rod bearings chances are though if its making noise its beat up and its more than bearing wear.
budget is a relative term, the 402 408 bottom ends are out of my budget, stock 346 is pushing my budget. im learning these arent poor man's cars.
