Default Fast 78 Mm Intake Question

hOW MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IS IT FROM LS6 TO 78MM FAST INTAKE ? I HAVE 04 GTO A/T I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE LS6 INTAKE, IS THIS TRUE ? IS IT WORH THE MONEY ($500) FOR A USED FAST INTAKE ?

It depends is 5-10hp worth 500 dollars to you.

NO 5-10 H/P IS NOT WORTH $500. i GUESS I WILL WAIT TILL MARCH WHEN WEILAND PUTS OUT THEIR NEW LS1/LS6 INTAKE.

I have one. Only got it because it was free and is ported. Don't think I gained anything over the ls6, but I did not do a back to back dyno on it.

I gained 10 HP but lost 7 TQ when I switched to my FAST 78 with the mods in my sig.

It was not ported at the time and I was using the stock TB on an 04 GTO that was ported. I also suspect my tune was a bit off. I have since ported the FAST and worked on the tune but haven't had it on the dyno.

man, if you could borrow a Wilson or Fast 78mm t/b, you WILL see a difference. I worked on a 346 n/a car for along time with a ported 78mm Fast on it and a stock ported t/b trying to find just a little more power in it, and 1 day I ordered in a Wilson 78mm t/b just to try or see if it made a difference, and WOW, it made such a huge difference, the car had to be retuned. My tuner to this day, can't believe it made that big of difference. This is what I have found, and I thought I might share it with you. Good Luck radkon.

sotp was huge, and almost 1mph according to owner of car.
