Default Quick ? on VHT nightshade

So I have a 2000 Black WS6 and I recently nightshaded my tailights and centerpiece. I cleared them and when they were inside they looked great but when i put them on the car they looked like ***. They are hardy glossy at all and Ive not really played around with wet sanding but I will do what it takes to get them right so what do I need to do.

Wet sand & buff them. I still haven't done that to mine yet b/c they turned out glossy from the start.

+1 on wet sanding and buffing. What kind of clear did you use? Did you spray it from a can or a gun? If it is a can then put tons of clear on, dont let the clear run, wet sand it until its baby butt smooth usually start at 1000 grit then go to 3000 grit. If there is dirt, start at 600 or 800.

you have to go to a paint supplys place. ask them about their 3M buffing products, basically its like wax but it makes it smooth and shinny.

a buffer you can get at lowes or home depot. they will cost you about 150-250 depending on name brand.

I fist wet sanded my tail lights with 800 grit sandpapper then I did four coats of night shade. After each coat i sanded with 1000 grit. Then i applied three coats of regular spray can clear sanding wtih 2000 grit after the every coat of clear. Then I finished it off with a little buffing. I used Mothers buffing stuff, I think.

One coat wont be bad at all. The most it is gonna do is tint them very lightly. Here is mine during the daytime with the taillights on. Just to let you know there are about 5-6 good coats on this. It was very sunny at the time of this picture. It doesn't really show it being sunny at all but it was about 50 degrees, 3pm in the afternoon.
