Default LM1 too loud for street night. Any suggestions?

Im pissed, but i cant run my loud mouth 1 on the track at raceway park in englishtown on a street night because its too loud through the long tubes and ory, and especially with my lumpy cam they throw me out as soon as i pull up. Soo, as much as that blows, i have to get a new exaust. I really like the loud idle and the WOT, is there anything BESIDES an LM2 that i could use, or is there a muffler i can stick in place of the resonator, because they say i have cherry bombs which i kindof do, and the LM2 looks the exact same so they still might not let me race, but if it looks square like a muffler then they cant say ****. any suggestions would be appreciated cuz the seasons starting soon.

screw that...just come down to atco...thats why i have never went to etown to run....

my setup is LTs no cats,TSP TDs.....

if you go to a TD setup youll pick up a few more horses and tq, while at the same time gaining way better sound and dropping about 30lbs

Yhea atco is a little far from me its like 1hr 45 min. And to clear things up i cant run at the racetrack on street nights cuz the houses around raceway park bitch so you have to have a muffeled car on fridays and saturdays, and you can run whatever you want on wednesday and sunday. But, since its a street car i wanna run friday nights. **** i wish i had the doe for cutouts. any other exausts?

Throw a Borla XR-1 on in place of the resonator and make it a Borlamouth. I did and it really tames down the part throttle noise of the LM but it still screams at WOT. It actually sounds better at WOT as it is a "cleaner" more refined sound whereas the LM is just a loud obnoxious noise in my opinion. I hated it with my 233/239 112lsa cam, LT and ORY. The part # for the muffler is 40085 i believe. It is a 5" round muffler with stainless steel packing and is 3" in and out and the case is 15" long. Deff an improvement

i love the LT+ORY+LM=

i guess the next loudest catback would be GMMG. im running magnaflow, but if i had to swap out a catback i would run corsa.

im just tryin to swap out the resonator for something that appears to be muffeled. I still want the highest flow but as long as it looks muffled i can run. But i think the borla thing looks good, i hope it fits.

I would say it is about equal decibel level wise at WOT but it sounds a lot more refined. The LM sounds like a farm truck to me whereas the XR-1 Borla sounds exactly like a Nascar.

Magnaflow is also a good choice, tame at idle and real loud at WOT.

The XR-1 sounds way better. The Dynomax bullet was not much better on my car. Here is a vid with the Dynomax bullet and 233/239 112 lsa cam, LT/ORY.http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...t=MVI_0412.flv revs in vid are only to 2500. I will try to get a vid of the Borlamouth soon. It is much more refined.

I wouldn't do anything to your exhaust. If you like it keep it the way it is and go to another track.
