Terrible Gas Mileage... Misfire at Idle...
My car is a 1999 A4 with Lid, Bellow, Longtubes, OR/Y, Spintech Muffler, and a tune fron EastSide Performance.
My car has always gotten terrible gas mileage since I did the mods and got it tuned. It would usually average around 14 and if I did only highway driving I would be able to see maybe 20...
the other night though, my car just randomly started misfiring really bad and it would bog the surge once I gave it a little gas...
I changed the spark plugs a few thousand miles ago, but I changed them again anyways... They looked pretty bad when I pulled them. Since I changed them it has been a lot better but I can still feel it missing a little at idle when its in gear, and it seems like it gets worse when I turn the heater fan up higher...
As it is now, I am getting like 200 miles on a full tank, and I can't even afford to drive this car anymore......
P.S. - I had NGK TR55's in it and when I pulled them they were really brownish/white...
Please help with any suggestions... If I cant figure this out I am gonna need to sell the car....
Thanks

lol 200 miles to the tank is good mileage man. i get less than that in the city, like 9-10mpg, granted it was getting cold and short trips but still. Summer time i see around 12-14.
