Nice video. That EVO moves! What does the TA run? Any numbers for both?

That evo and ta are stepping out!
Looks like we may have to make the trip up there to try out that trailblazer and diesel. I have a buddy with a Z71 that wants to give that two tone mustang a run. :D

It looked like the Evo turned up the boost after the TA beat him the first run :D.

nah, that's brad's stock turbo evo that the TA beat and my 35R turbo evo that he lost to.

brad was staring at the laptop when he started the 2-step, Justin thought he was ready so he flagged them and brad looked up and finally took off lol. that's why it looks like he slept.

street racing during the day?

yeah, and doing it on city streets. pretty dumb huh? those guys can drive but they have no common sense or they have common sense but choose to not put it to use. those are the guys that give street racers a really bad rep.

Dude did you even watch the video? or any of his million other videos from the same location? They look to be very safe and that looks to be some type of un-used industrial park back service street. If they have permission to be there, it's private, there is no thru-traffic and they keep the crowd size down......what makes that more dangerous than say going to the track?

Good video as always, thanks for making it.

LOL ok well that makes sense :jest:. I just knew something made that lil evo wake up.. Good runs guys and wish i could find a place like that :).

the events are invite only and scripted...this keeps the spectators and idiots away. No street racing is perfectly safe but this is as good as it gets.

I've been keeping track of theses videos and seen how much MELLON's car improved.
Nothing but props to you guys. Sow who won the last one.:headbang::smokin2:

...what if the owner of the TA strap a big turbo on that LS1.

Bolt-ons and nitrous with the stock exhaust..

Don't be the "what if" guy, seriously. Besides, it would probably blow up in a hurry with stock internals.

Stock mufflers. Suspension mods?

I spun horribly on the launch (no vHT on my lane + street tires) but I caught him and put a fender on him.

we're going to run again in about a month, I suspect he'll have a few new tricks. I don't plan on changing anything so he'll probably get me but it'll be fun regardless

a stock internal LS1 should be able to handle a "small" amount of boost without issue. :bat_angel

either way you're still bench racing a setup that wasn't there, nobody cares.

In case you hadn't noticed, there are a lot of people on the internet that like to do that. This forum has its fair share.

On another note, I always enjoy your vids. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

yeah, it's quite common and I don't know why I bother to respond honestly but I do.

thanks, we've got another video shoot coming up soon.

UL LOSE sent me a text yesterday and wants another shot at the EVO but at the track as a grudge match. The times won't be posted but it'll be interesting to see what both of us can do with better traction. I'll see if I can get some in car footage from mine.

Dude in the t/a has the launch down quite well. He reacts quick to the flaggers hands. Not very often you see a rwd on street tires keeping up with an awd, let alone a 35r evo. The 2 runs between them made the whole vid for me.

being good friends with the flagger and working out the go time before the race helps

thanks man, it's a ton of fun, runs pretty good in the 1/4 and handles it's ass off in the twisties. Being able to rotate the car with throttle sure is interesting in an awd car :D

I'm just about to get my TT stealth back on the road, once that's done it's time to put the built shorty in the EVO and go crazy with the boost/c16 and see what I can squeeze out of this biatch

That was no where near ullose's average 60ft and mellon was off the pace for sure compared to what he can do in the 60 ft.The t/a had just put his stock muffler back on and he said it felt like it was laying over in 3rd.If both of them get out of the hole well it should make for some great passes this next go around.Thats why we street race thou because as long as your close to what the other person runs....anybody could win.
