I drove it to the car wash this afternoon, got all the trash out of it, washed the interior and exterior. Tomorrow I'm taking the wheel to have a "maypop" installed on it, going to pick up some nuts so that I can attach the remaining seats to the floor, and I'm going to pick up some seat belts either from the salvage yard or eBay. Couple of seat covers and windshield wipers and I'm good to go.

Already the van has helped out. I took back some stuff to Lowes and dropped off the crawfish stuff at a friend's house.

That's why I prefer hanging out with friends and not the public. The asstards around there don't know how to act. If an older crowd, not necessarily older, but more mature was there you wouldn't know they were there unless you were looking. That was one good thing about having my shop where I used to live. Man we would have the yard stacked with nice ass cars, grilling, and maybe even would work on some while we were there. Here soon though, I will have my big ass shop house built and be back at it again.

well i tried to get me an SRT8 300 today going down 20 but he wouldn't do it. i figured he was up for it because he started driving like an ass as soon as he passed me. the traffic finally opens up and i line up with him and the pussy wont even go. i tried over and over. guess he wanted to drive like an ass but not actually put his money where his mouth was. o well.

Yeah, i was at garrett's shop one day with a friend working on that c4 after a nitrous backfire. Anyway, they were swapping driveshafts and putting a longer one on it. Me and a friend were putting the new one on with the old u joints on it. The old yoke would not slide over the output shaft on the trans. We couldnt figure it out. Finally we got a flashlight and looked down inside it. And the splines inside it were twisted in a spiral! Thats badass! Twisted it like a damn popcan! I wish i could twist shit like that

yeah, i did my headers and y on some ramps under one of those build-on-site carports, then it started raining, so i just grabbed some plywood and threw it on the puddle under my car. Sucked bad

well my plan of attack was to put the back wheels on rhino ramps. then jack the car up by the front of the sub frame connectors and put jack stands under the k member. that way i can slide in and out under the car without anything obstructing me. thats the best plan i can come up with. either way i dont think im gonna enjoy this too much. but i guess itll be worth it in the end.

Just go to dealer and make the best deal you can, after you have done that tell him you have a friend with GM and see what the discount price is. Do you really need a 4x4? My first truck had to be a 4x4, and that turned out to be a big pain in the ass. I was always having to get someone to pull me out of something, because I would try to go places no truck should go. After I stopped the the stupid shit the truck never saw 4 wheel drive, other then one winter. When a 4 wheel drive screws up it is a big money fix. Not telling you what to get jeff, we buy what we want. Just think family, how are things going with the baby? You and momma getting any sleep?

July is the next one I can make and should be cammed, tuned, and 9 inches longer *cough* I mean stronger then lol.

Greg's going to tune Cody's car tomorrow, and touch mine up a little for the 85mm MAF and LID I bought. I finally reached the 500 mile mark, so I'm changing the transmission fluid (as I type this it's draining.)

Might as well check the rear end fluid while I'm under here. It seems to be leaking a bit. I don't mind if it breaks, I just don't want it to be because of a stupid mistake. I want an explosion of parts raining down on the commoners. The Plebians; the peasants; commonalty, the common people, commoners, lower classes, humbler classes, laboring class... etc.

i am still trying to get over how good this damn exhaust sounds. i will never go to a catback again. duals are God.

Yeah it came right out, wedged under the pickup tube. Have no idea why it wouldnt come out at first tho:confused:. Install is done, lopes hard as fuck. Tuning on april 7th at futral motorsports

232/234 598 598 112+4. Considering i did it 100% by myself, and it was my first time. Took probably a total of maybe 16hrs maybe a little more. Pain in the ass hard. But when i cranked it up and heard the sound it makes...all worh it

Hardest part was getting the radiator out, i used wood dowels to hold the lifters up and TDC to hold the valves. Everything worked like a charm. And its retarded loud when the motor is cold. I will be doing the exhaust again some time again, i am afraid to drive it around haughton.

^^^Bad ass man. You might can try Racetech in Bossier, but they don't have a dyno. Your best bet though would probably be either Thunder Racing or Futral Motorsports down south. They are also sponsor's on here if you need any more info about them.

Try SpeedZone in Longview, TX. 903-738-6188. Just had my car tuned over there today. Talk to Ronnie. He owns the dyno. He's got a tuner over there named Jared. He's the one you want to do your tune. He tuned mine and was real thorough. Real knowledgeable about these cars. Good at finding extra hp. Check em out.

Well somebody needs to show Rich how to flag the start of a drag race,like they used to do it back in the day ,before they had the christmas tree . Anyway, as dorkie as he is you have to give him credit for the show & the interest it has provided for our sport. Besides, he's probably an up-right dude . If the show gains a little more in popularity it won't be long before Rich will be on the Tonight Show with Leno.

Well it is a good thing that they're doing. They're trying to get racing off of the streets and show everyone that you can bet at the track just like you can on the street and be legal without hurting yourself or anyone else. Like I said, it's a good thing, but there will always be racing on the street. Rich is bald and hyper and that doesn't work, plus he is dorkish, but I do agree on him probably being a good guy.

how did it run after the descreening and taking out the wires? i heard that if you even wiggle those wires around to much, you car will not run any better due to the fact they read off of vibrations... is this true? i guess youll find out!

well, got tuned. car made 427rwhp and 436rwtq(uncorrected) Corrected #'s are 431rwhp and 440rwtq. Car evidently has a bad right bank o2 sensor i didnt know about. And i have a small amount of blow by in cylinder #4. Other than that, went great. Stephen KNOWS HIS SHIT. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to get a dyno tune. Great guy i must say. Owns a 800rwhp twin turbo 04 goat. And blown 383 was there getting his injectors tuned. His car made 63xrwhp!! Probably would have made more if they could get a descent run on it and not bust the damn tires loose on the dyno!! I wish i had that problem lol. I will post some charts tomorrow night if i can figure out how to use this new copier/scanner/fax i got here. But i must say, i was sceptacle at first going to stephen. Never heard of him. He did a bang up job on my car, runs great, holds a good idle. And even having a bad o2 he still tuned it really close. I just have to go back after some new o2's. Said the car still had maybe another 20rwhp in it, but i got a "safe tune", i didnt want the car running on edge, it is my daily driver. Runs just a hair rich due to the fact the sensor was out and he couldnt nail the tune dead on. Car runs i would say about 99% driveability wise like it did before the cam. I can tell you, i wont be going down south for dyno tunes after meeting this guy.

Not sure?? It was hella loud though. It backfired and threw a 2ft flame out the ass end. If it wasnt they were definatley close as far as loud goes. They were both deafening thats for sure:devil: Am i supposed to go by the corrected or uncorrected hp and tq #'s?

Dynojet will be higher than a mustang dyno. I've heard that from guys who have done both.

Thats what i heard too. But the #'s i put down cant possibly be right. I even mention the #'s i made in the dyno section everyone jumps my ass. And besides, why would my car make more tq than hp? If you look through peoples #'s, you see that in maybe 1 out of every 25 people. From what i understand a dyno jet has some kind of sae correction factor. Their dyno is way off. I am just glad i got my tune. However, he was able to use the dyno to make tuning adjustments so its all good. I just have to find another one. I want to know my real #'s. I cant go baclk to the track until i get some sfc's, a stb, and a rollbar to see what kind of times i am making anyway. The car is definatley pulling alot harder

Mine has always made more tq than hp. bolt ons mine made 342rwhp and 359rwtq. mine was dyno 20 times befor the cam and it has always made more tq. After just a cam swap it pulled 371rwhp and 389rwtp. i think it might be a 6 speed thing.

Greg couldn't make it out today, so we rescheduled for Saturday. The "skipping" isn't isolated to 4k anymore...it's pretty much random now. I'm really starting to believe it's the fuel pump...I mean what else would cause fuel to cut out like that, ya know?

I am more inclined to believe it was the tuning. It was fine before right? And not after?

meh, get a fuel pump anyway. You won't be stock forever, and it's nice not to run out of fuel.

The fact that it started after the tune is true Chris, but I've been wondering if the new mods haven't been really straining the factory 95k mile fuel pump... I guess we'll see on Saturday. Greg said he's bringing a fuel pressure gauge.

they got permanent mount fuel pressure guage (schrader valve mount) on a certain auction site for like 25 or 30 bucks. you even get to pick the color. hiltey you wanna help me install one? i know you got the tool for it.
