We went from around from a 40 punch and then we raced again and went from about a 20 roll. I dont know if the vette is a stick or auto. I never saw the front drop down on it so it may be an auto. We slowed down again and hit it again about the same speed but he pulls hard man. I got the 250 pills in there now ( equalizer pills ) LOL . If he beats me with that Ill give him props. I just want to have fun and race some folks and not have to worry if they gonna try to beat my ass or something. A few guys here seem to take it personally.

Nobody is going to want to fight you. We are all here for the same reason but next time you talk alot of smack just show up and explain yourself. Damn sounds like some quick street cars have showed up on the scene. Look fwd to seeing some videos since I can't ever come out as my wife works Friday-Sunday nights at St. Michaels in Texarkana. Not that my Head/Cam Bolton n2o Goat would stand a chance anyways. I did get some new times last weekend because I let a buddy take it down to ThunderRoad on Friday

Nothing special but there is more there. When it gets cooler and I get some wider stickier tires I should be able to get that 60' down to 1.5x-1.6x Then might just break off a 10sec pass. Not bad for this big fat pig of a car

There is a thread in the southern section just a few down from this one that tries to answer the age old question about what defines a street car. I think the best answer is on the second page where a guy states that its not really the necessities, or lack thereof, that define it.....its how the owner uses it.

I cant speak for anyone else, and I honestly haven't raced in some time now but as my car sits, I prefer a roll due to the fact that I don't want to break anything. Im not saying its a cure-all for breaking shit, but a dig sure does make those chances rise. It just wouldn't be convenient for me to break the trans/rear right now so Ill go from a roll and if anyone disagrees then that is fine by me. But I do agree, his shop car shouldn't have a problem going from a dig.

Lastly, I agree with getting together to check out some of these cars that have been around lately. I should have my scavenge pump done tomorrow and wouldnt mind meeting up to check out some nice LS1 rides this weekend :cool:

Just saying what I seen.

Now his buddies nitrous injected Chevy truck was quite impressive! Back to back passes at 10.20s!!! Not to shabby for a ol pickup truck. You could tell he had a shit load of dope on it!!

Well since I was not there I really cant be 100% as I heard it second hand, but he was supposed to be on like 4psi or something. Whether he has all the bugs worked out on it I do not know. What I do know is that his car is pure sex on wheels! 427 lsx block with twins and fully built everything from front to back. I would say when things are ironed out it will be a tough cookie to crack!

as for the GTO

yea best it ever did was a 11.0 but you got to remember it was still spinning at the traps most of the time...some times it would hook at the 1000FT. thats why i sold it...100MPH roll racing isnt fun. only thing that ever took it on the street was a fully built ans storked NOS GSXR 1300

on 15 PSI the car went (ON THE OLD 408 motor) we only went to the 330 ft mark and let out and ran a 11.01 at 87 MPH, just shake down runs, thats letting out BEFORE THE 1/8 mile and coasting to the finish.....best 1/8 mile run on that setup was 6.4 @ 115 MPH with a 2.0 60 FT. not using the trans break. say what you want but il put 1K up for any run out there on the street when she is finished, that the point of this car. 1200HP will only be low boost on this when we are done!

actually a boost leak that came about from the night before while out racing. just left it that way cause we didnt have time to fix it. if you have ever seen the turbo kit you would know that there is 24 spots where you can blow a tub loose so yea its easy to get 4 LBS of boost, only takes a small leak on a 5 LBS spring

exactly...that car was NOT built for the track. only went a couple of times. never wanted to take it there.

now the vette we will take a few times. its also going to be a roll racer cause of how it likes to hook at about 60 MPH...lol..tons better than the GTO though! 125mph sucked!

sorry man i didnt see where you said yall were ROLL racing.... i was making the point that if it spins through the traps and runs 11's at the track then it runs 13's on the street and couldnt see it never loosing a street race, when people say street race i automatically assume they are DRAG RACING since we were talking about DRAG RACING...but if you are roll racing from a high mph then u would be right the outcome would be different.

I have exactly the exhaust you need! This is an under the axle true dual system. It comes off the headers and goes into the X, then through a pair of StainlessWorks chambered mufflers. Next I have a flange. On this flange, you can either mount the turndowns I've got, or the second half of the exhaust. The second half of the exhaust goes under the axle and consists of a pair of Powerpack chambered mufflers, exiting out through a pair of Corsa Clone exhaust tips. Everything everywhere is 3" internal diameter, with the exception of the tips, which are dual 3.5".

They should come pretty damn close to simply bolting on to your headers.

I'd like $450 for the whole thing. Of course I'm also willing to trade for guns.

My car is currently still located in Ar i spun a rod bearing so hopefully in a months time it (the red dragon) will be back up and running and i look forward to meeting everyone! the car has ran a best of 9.62 @105 1.54 60ft on a 1k ft track, at the time it just had the mods in my sig and its a 6spd, it now has a trex and have not got to take it to a track yet.

welcome to the area, im guessing since you are going to tech that you will be staying in ruston. i live in natchitoches but from jonesboro originally which is just about 30 min from ruston. there is a few guys there that get together every once and a while and go to the track but they mostly go to monroe to run. im sure when i get back from work (december some time) ill see you at the track.

Yea a Tiboran ( or how every you spell it ) , Man that thing is just wicked fast. I dont think anyone can out run this car. He was rolling deep on some 165 R 13 drag radials. Talked to the guy to after he out ran me said he sprayed me with a 15 shot of spray. Again wicked fast. What was even worse was the fact that I saw the race between Nitrobusa and the tiboran guys friend in the yugo.

The yugo put about 4 cars on Nitrobusa. This car was even more wicked fast then the tiboran man. I dare not race the yugo out of fear he would smoke me. I recall the yugo dude saying he could jet up to a 25 shot and tear anyones ass apart around here. At one point in the race I actually thought Nitro put his car in reverse because the yugo pulled so hard away.

I ran slicks with tubes as street tires for a while. They came with the first set of Prostars I had. They were sticky! It didn't matter really because I don't drive it in the rain. The reason I went to an et street radial this time is because I hated the "slick walk".

gears, converter, cold air, long tubes with cats, ported FAST 92, low temp stat, and tune the car only put down 371RWHP and 379RWTQ

That's not to shabby! People underestimate the Vettes big time. I remember back in '05 when the C6 first came out, there was a guy from West Monroe name Charles Johnson that had a Yellow one with lambo doors. He had a ProCharger D1 running 8-10 psi, longtubes, yank 3600, and a tune and was running consistant 10.30s @ like high 130 mph!! The Vettes are Gangster fo show!

Hey guys I just got back from a training session in DFW looks like its gonna rain yet again here all this weekend. Where does everyone go out and hang I went to the club downtown and to the rocking rodeo. Also I just noticed one of my rear calipers is leaking around the rubber thing that pushs the pad outward. Where is a good mechanics shop that wont rape you around here. I appreciate any info you guys might have or Ill pay someone to fix it if they know what they or doing.

KB supercharger, engine built by someone special in the Ford world. Said he ran 10.30s at 131 in Gilliam, with a 1.60 60'. Guy's name is Nathan. Full of shit or quick car? I kept my mouth shut. Me, Beau, & Allen went to Gearheads yesterday. Thing 2 got all tuned up ... Decided not to do the high boost at this time. Travis & I were kind of pressed for time.. They are definetly 200% more professional than HPP. They start work @ 9am. Told me to be there @ 9:30 & car was goin on the dyno at 10 Also Travis didn't take a 1 hour break in between pulls. He stayed with the car till it was done. Started tuning around 10:30 & he was test driving the car at 1:30... That'll never happen @ hpp.
Weather sucked balls (it was rainin when we got there & then thesun came out so humidity was off the chart) so the #'s were kinda down , but the car runs AWESOME & that's the most important part to me.

Very cool to hear man. The most important part is that its running great and its not gonna blow up. My car was tuned/dynoed in HOT weather to but its not a big deal to me. I also am tweeking my my clutch master adjustment right now to try to get it perfect. The 3rd gear blockout made me look like a fool many times in the past so Im trying to fix it. LOL

I was driving for a brief time last night also. Not looking for anything (I have other wheels/tires when I expect something) LOL but its was nice weather nonetheless. Street tires are absolutely worthless when I even think about getting into boost

SO yesturday I was filling the camaro up at a station and a white LS1 camaro, Draglites, Mickey Thompson Sportaman S/R Radial tiers front and back, SS hood w/black around the scoop, flat black by the tail lights. It was kinda beat up, gray spot on drivers side quarter panel...I talked to Badassbowties about it and he said it could poosibly be ShreveportLS1..Anyone know this guy or is he on here?

I'm curious because I'm certain I won't touch 10.30s. Probably not even close. He said a couple things that made me think he was underestimating his car or playing it down. For example when I asked him what size engine he had, he said he didn't know. Talk of racing didn't come up though.

I've been around guys with quick cars before who pretend that their cars are much slower than they actually are, and that they know less than they really do. That's what it felt like. Maybe he was setting me up for races later. Who knows.
