I have changed the TB,MAF,Lid,28" MT DRs,QA1 shocks and springs,LCA,4.11 gears, spohn drag sway bar and played around with some little things on the suspension as well. If i can get the other 3-4 things going by october i exspect to start seeing the full potential of the 6.0L motor then. <caugh>vicjrntaksdtunnoscontrolr<caugh>

How did the maiden voyage of the auto transmission go for you?
I remember your car doing some crazy stuff when you were launching it. It would pull the nose some and then the back would go up and it looked like it was yanking the rear drivers wheel off the ground and unloading the suspension. I think that will help you out a ton. I'm planning on a spohn bar for mine as the next mod.

The auto is fun on the track but the t brake will really take some getting use to. I only used it about 2-3 times and they were wimpy 2000rpm launches that still produced 1.60-1.63 short times! So it's gonna be a killer when I do ***** up and hit it with all 4000 stall! I matched my best ever 6 speed 60ft of 1.590 and never really left very hard and that was foot braking it. But it would only run almost to the 1000ft mark before I ran out of gear and had to coast to a best of 11.83@113. Every trans company I talked to told me my setup with 4.30's and 28" tires was good for 124mph @ 6400rpm but it wasn't even close!

4.30s and 28" tires i would think would easily do 124 but it depends on the gearing of your new transmission. Your gearing may be lower than you think causing you to run out of motor on the big end. 4.11s won't make much difference for you at all. I would throw some 3.70s to it and see what happens. I ran them up to april and put 4.11s in mine with the 28" tires but have yet to try them.

Chris the stall converter is what is keeping rpms up they never actually get a 1 to 1 input to output speed I would think to get 124 mph with tires and gears rpm will be close to 6800 to 7000 rpm. Get you a two step on the t-brake and watch the front end get some good airtime.

Greg, it's gonna be few more weeks and I'll be calling you for a tune. I last talked to you about it in march, but got way behind schedule on house stuff and work. I got everything I need so just a few more weeks if not less. I'll send you another PM in a few days to square away payment. Only thing I'm waiting on are titanium retainers.

Chris, I should have my 3.50's out next week if you still want to try them. I'll call you when I get them out and see.

Looks like you got a head start on me. I'll be doing mine next weekend hopefully. Now that we're in the new house, I can get started back on the car.

Good thing I left when I did. We were running out of beer. I'll see you in the morning after I catch all the fish out of the Red River.

Her folks are headed out at 9:30am...and I gotta run a few errands in the morn, but I'll be there! What's your timeframe for tomorrow?

I made it home safely.

Car sounds great! Can't wait to see what it does once it's tuned by the champ!

There was less bleeding than I expected in the installation of this cam.

This post is also to prove that a man who's not entirely sober can still spell words correctly.
