Default H/C swap Checklist! Please read.

So I've decided to get a H/C package from TSP. Looks like it's going to be the AFR 205cc heads. Not sure exactly which cam I'm going to go with right now but it'll probably be either the 228R or T.v2. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything when ordering my parts. This will be going on my 2002 SS w/ low mileage and full bolt ons. The package comes with hardened PRs and the heads are already assembled w/ springs. I believe I can use the stock rockers w/ these heads but not sure. I'm going to get a gasket set as well to include a GM head gasket. I'm also ordering a set of ARP head bolts. Is there anything else that I absolutely NEED?
Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

Yes you can use the stock rockers. You should do an oil pump and at least an LS2 chain at this time since it will all be apart anyways.

also get GM gaskets they redesigned them and work great.

What is your drivetrain like- you may need to get a new clutch or a nice stall.

Ported oil pump LS6.
LS2 timing chain
Lifters LS7
IF your planning on spraying a big hit i would do head studs.
Might want to do rod bolts also. .

Okay, after talking with Matt from TSP, I've decided to go with a 224/228 .581/.588? on a 112+2 LSA. I may do a FAST 90/90 setup as well but I'm not sure. I'm confident that combo will give me plenty of really good power under the curve. This motor only has 25K miles and the lifters are in great shape. I've been debating doing an oil pump and timing chain because in my last car I saw absolutely NO difference in oil pressure. My current oil pressure is 40psi hot and looks great during drive cycles. I don't plan on swapping anything out in the future so I'm just going to go with the ARP head bolts. Should a low mileage 2002 SS need upgraded injectors for this setup?

The lifters should be fine. I would definitely look at a timing chain and an oil pump if your are going to be upping the RPMs any. Have you thought about who is tuning it? I may have missed it but do you have headers? Looks like you have it covered on getting the air in but what about getting it out?

Pay Pat G $25 bucks and have him spec a custom grind for you. He'll also advise you on all the parts you will need for the cam.

I believe so. It's not about the miles, it's about the duty cycle. You'll most likely be maxed out.

I am at 97% duty cycle with stock heads. I would reccomend getting some GTP, yes GTP injectors- look for the cream colored ones as they are easy to tune, and cheap. they are 36# but flow like 39#'s on our fuel systems.

New BLUE O-ring for your oil pump pickup tube. Any other nickel and dime sealants / loctites you can pick up at your local auto parts store. I got My O-ring at WS6store for like $6 or $7 IIRC.
