Default SRT8 Opinions? Please.

I am thinking of selling my DD RX8 and trading it in for an SRT8.
I have done my research so please don't put this bullshit up here or I will stick the signs where the sun don't shine. LOL. I was surprised with the hemi that they get 14mpg and 20 mpg. My RX8 gets 17mpg and 20 mpg. I need something bigger because I am at 210 pnds and my RX8 swallows me . I drive it everyday to work and the ole back is just getting old folding myself in that lil car. Other than that I love it. Are the SRT8 good vehicles. Any Gripes? Grumbles? Complaints? Thanks fellas.

Are you sure about 25 mpg in an SRT? The guys I know barely see 19 mpg on the hwy. Their average is in the 15 range.

Dodges tend to drink a lot of gas from what I have seen.

If his name is chargerr/t, perhaps he drives an R/T...

He's my roommate... I think I know what he drives
He used to drive an r/t, but then upgraded to an srt8.

and has far as his MPG go... Im just going by what I noticed the other day. Im sure he'll let us know what he actually gets on a more "regular" basis.

If you are looking at dropping that much money, I'd find a used CTS-V M6 (not sure if they even come in A4).

Seemed like a good observation to me

The EPA rated the Charger SRT8 at 14/20.

You said his car got 25+ MPG and that is going to be damn near impossible to achieve in an SRT8 without pushing it in neutral.

Add the fact that his name is "CHARGERR/T" and I think you have yourself a pretty damn good observation there....

...and no I didn't consider the fact that you two, being the bestest buddies, put each others cars in your sigs.

If you’re looking for a fast DD I'd wait until 09 when the 5.7 hemi’s are supposed to jump to 380hp and 405tq and fuel economy is going to be improved slightly as well. This way you will be able to run low 14's maybe even high 13's and still get mid 20’s on the highway. Just seem like a better choice for a DD but of course this is all up to you in the end.

I drive a charger srt8 and I normally average between 23-25 mpg highway. Keep in mind, my commute is 33 miles all highway and I am a light driver. Normally set my cruise at about 65. I once got amazing gas mileage coming home from houston.

notice the speedo needle is right at about 63-65 mph. As far as a DD goes, I love my car. My R/T however averaged close to 27mpg highway and 21 city.

I have a Jeep Grand Cheroke SRT8. In my opinion, it is by far the best of the SRT8 vehicles. Lots of room and it has the fastest 0-60 and 1/4 mile time.

Most stock or lightly modded GC SRT8s 0-60 in 4.0 flat and run 13.0-13.20 in the quarter. That is no joke. The mileage is not too great on the highway because of the gearing, but there are few cars that can 60' in 1.80 seconds in the rain or dry. Don't get caught sleeping at a stoplight against an all wheel drive 6.1L Hemi Jeep.

Default Sorry fellas

I should have been more elaborate . I want the SRT8 Charger like charger R/T has. Nice car by the way, I want silver or gray. Yea I did research and it says they get around 20mpg highway and I drive about 40 miles to work but hell this lil rotary that I got gets around 20-21. Hey Charger r/t , do you have any gripes about the car? What warranty do you have? As soon as I get this RX8 paid for in a month or so I am going to test drive one. I want to buy a used one I never have or never will buy a new car. I have had real good luck with all my used cars that I have bought, knock on wood.

Thanks for the feedback guys its appreciated .
