Default Gonna go with 4:10 is that good?

Sup guys i am just wondering if the 4 10 gears will wake up my m6. Also what do you all think my car will do on the street with them. See my sig for what my car has. One more thing is there a bigger chance that i will break my rear end?

Yes there is a bigger chance that you will break your rear end but look at it this way. It allows you to see if you like the 4.10 before you order a 9inc or a 12 bolt.

M6=9 inch A4=12bolt...

10 bolts are trash.
Are you using a FAST 90/90 combo? Or just the 78mm?
Look, either way, you could put 4.10s in and rebuild kit with bearings and seals and even a TA gridle etc, it may help a tiny bit. But 10 bolts can bust under stock Horse power in the street.. I wouldn't chance it man.

I push 460rwhp, I did buy 4.10s for my 10 bolt, then retuned them after the whole world screamed at me for putting more money into the 10 bolt.

Buying a 9" tomorrow...

kiss your first gear goodbye cuz it'll be just about worthless. i could rev the engine with it in gear. it raises the fun factor quite a bit until of course the KABOOM happens.

YES, it will wake up the car. And about the rearend taking a dump? It all depends on how "brutal" you launch the car from a stop, especially being an m6.

3000RPm clutch dumps on Nitto's & holding. Get them. Gas milage is vertually uneffected with 6speed. I cruise @ 80mph @ 2200rpm.

If you have rather new quality tires they will still hook decent. During cold weather and or using worn tires they dont hook worth a damn. Thats why I dropped from 4.10 to 3.90.

You definately want to have some sticky tires. Traction becomes an issue, but either way they are fun. I had harden output shafts installed on my C5 when I got 4.10s. The car is significantly quicker and more fun.

do it. Its well worth it, and if it breaks, by something better. With street tires, and bolt one, I would spin all the way through first, and most of the way through second gear. Its definatelly fun man.
