Big thanks to Tyson @ PAF for doing a quality job as always on the 10 pt cage for the SS. I couldn't be happier with it. Here are a few pics-

I was going to ask the same thing. I've read it is legit if you run a sill bar though-which I don't see.

i think if you run a sill bar and have the correct thickness tube, and it wraps atleast 1/2 way bolted in with the correct holds, its ok, but that looks like a basic pull out bar that may not fly

Unless the rules changed for 2008, then a sillbar is not required on unibody cars with unmodified floorpans. Swingouts that have a 3/8 pin(or bolt) in double shear (which is what PAF uses) are legal to 8.50s.

The removable door bars/swing-outs are good for 850's and is ligit. I have done several cages this way and their is no problem with getting them certified NHRA/IHRA. The rocker bars for sportsman cages are needed when their has been alterations done to OEM floor(example = Back half) Same goes for the Dash Bar.. only need for a modified firewall.. SFI cages...No swing-outs and dash and rocker bars are required..

Is it legal to get a removable cross bar on a cage? I am going to need to have my GTO done soon and it would be a huge plus to be able to remove the bar and still have access to the rear seats as this is my everyday driver. I would only be running at the very best into the high 10's.

Thanks for any help guys. I cant see the pics because i am at work, but from what i have seen of tyson's work before i am sure it looks great!
