Default WOT Misfire?

Well I just pulled my maf off to clean it, man that sucker was dirty and the car was being sluggish and misfiring at 15% throttle, almost like it was getting no gas, then it would pick back up all of a sudden. So I clean my maf and change my plugs out to some tr55's. Now, the stuttering problem doesn't exist, but at WOT my damn car misfires, and my check gauges light flashes. Any ideas?

Could be something else but if you've already checked the obvious like plugs, wires, etc, then being a 98 and probably high miles, I'd say fuel pump. Put a gauge on the fuel rail, tape it to the windshield and go for a run. If you see fuel dip below 50psi at WOT, it's because the pump can't keep up and your car is going lean.

Easy way to kill the motor if you don't fix it.
