Default Best 5 speed and clutch

I am going to put a 5 speed in my car before spring rolls around, It'll be something I can find in something else and pull from the junk yard. What would be my best choices? Something that will bolt bo my gen 1 block.

Also what clutch's are sholud I look at?

The cost of going T56 over a T5 would cost 3 times as much..

Yeah cost is why I'm going T5, what should I look for? One in a truck, a car, is there a difference? They came in 3rd gens right? What, if any, used a T5 with a hydrolic clutch? What about the clutch and flywheel? Just order what ever clutch I want for the vehicle the tranny came from?

w/c t5's were in the 88 to 92 fbodies.i have had 2 and if you speed shift them with an engine that's building power you can destroy 3rd gear.as far as bolting up to the gen 1 block if you have the bellsousing and all they will do fine.are you using a one piece rear main seal or 2 piece?i used the hayes street/strip clutch kit in my 3rd gen.i am also selling my clutch ,flyweel and t/o bearing if i don't rebuild the t5 and put it in my 4th gen project

Its a 2 piece rear main. What is the average price I should expect to pay for a W/C?
