Good luck finding a rental place around here. There's a million construction workers right now working on tons of projects/expansions at the local plants. I've heard you can't even get a hotel room during the week.
There are some condo/apartment things being built on the southwest end of Nederland Ave. that look to be almost completed, they look really nice too. I'd look for a place in Nederland/Groves/Port Neches/Bridge City.
We have a pretty good group that hangs out at Kohls. There's also some jackasses too.

Don't live in Port Arthur. Look for something in Nederland, Port Neches, Groves, or Beaumont. There are waiting lists for many apartments in the area. I think your best bet would be to look for a house for rent. Better start looking now my friend.
You'll have way more luck finding something in Beaumont than in the Nederland/Port Neches/Groves area. There are also some new townhouses for sale in downtown Beaumont near the club/bar district (and I use that term loosely) that are really nice. Garage on the first floor and two additional floors above. Really nice but somewhat expensive (compared to other townhouses in Beaumont).
I think you'll find that real estate is inflated in the Nederland/Port Neches/Groves area (compared to Beaumont). I grew up in Port Neches and bought my first house about 8 months ago in Nederland. Nederland seemed to be a bit cheaper. 1000--1200 sq ft homes on piers in Port Neches are selling for $70-80k. Nederland seems to be a bit cheaper. I found an 1100 sq ft home on a slab in Nederland for a bit less. I've spent the last 8 months renovating (new laminate flooring, carpeting, paint, etc) however.
Get on realtor.com and you'll see what I'm talking about
