Default G5X2

Ok...I was wondering something..I am getting a new shortblock with diamond piston's -2cc releif's and using my T.E.A. S2 5.3 liter's on the motor...The head's are milled .030...would -2cc releif's be enough for the G5X2 in this motor? And what pushrod's should I use..7.350's? Thank's,

Carter

You bet. You will have plenty of clearance with the Diamonds

Are you assembling the motor yourself? I would check the p to v clearance on any new motor, especially with a cam the size of the g5x2. I don't think that you will run into any problems, but it's nice to have that piece of mind when you turn that key for the first time. Just my .02

It should have ~ 300 thou of valve drop with the Diamonds. on the H/C cars we do, we achieve ~ 240-260 of drop.

Stock cars have ~ 200 thou of drop

LG says that .200-.220 valve drop is fine with the piston at TDC with the G5X2. Its an easy check to make too.
