Default Synergyn substitute???

Washington state apparently has only one place to get Synergyn II from at this point and its about 4 hours from me.

I was planning to pick up some fluid and drain/refill my T-56 today.

I want to mix 2 quarts of Mobil1 with 2 quarts of Synergyn but thats not an option.

Is the Redline 80w140 an okay option as well? Synergyn II is shown to be 80w140 as well but it's a GL6 rather than a GL5+. I'm not even honestly sure what the difference is.

I guess I just need to know if my trans will like 2 quarts of Mobil1 and 2 quarts of Redline 80w140 or Ams Oil 80w140.

Trying to find out ASAP

Synergen has a transmission fluid and I don't believe its anywhere near that weight . I have several bottles at my shop but wouldn't be able to check until Monday to see what the weight is .

To answer your question , I would not use that heavy of a fluid in a T56 .

Synergyn II is what is recommended in the FAQ thread. I looked up the specs on it and its shown to be 80w140.

I ended up running 2 1/2 quarts of Mobil 1 ATF with 2 quarts of Mobil 1 75w140.

Noticeable difference in shifting.

I'm currently having occasional issues with reverse. I go to put it in gear and it feels like its in but it isnt and then I have to put it in again. No grinding or any other issues and 1st gear is fine.

Before reading the FAQ on here I had swapped in Royal Purple about 10k miles ago.
