01 Chevy transmission help I just recently fried the cluches in my transmission. I have a 01 Chevy 1500 V8 and was needing some assistance with a transmission swap. What transmission should i buy and i need some tips for tranny swap

Are you looking for another stock tranny or a performace one? If you looking for a stock one, try www.carpart.com and do a search for your transmission. Hundreds should come up around your area.
If you looking for a performance 4l80e just do a search on google for performance transmissions and you should get plenty of results. hope this helps

and what is the good one for a street racing truck ( gmc sierra 1500 2wd ) ?

I build trannies for a living, but am not a sponsor. The Getrag trannies,(sticks) are not conducive for performance. Go to the trans section and check out the sponsors there. I beat my 4L60 series pretty good. They can take some punishment. It is not cheap. The sticks aren't either. You could install a 4L80E and be done with it. Yours is easy being a 2WD. Good luck.
