MSD 6010 need harness?

Default MSD 6010 need harness?
I am going with the 6010 and Vic jr carbed intake with a carburator. Do I also need a extension harness msd 60101 ?

Is this the way to go or would buying edelbrocks package deal be just as good?
I do like the feature of tuning my own timing curve but they do have 6 different curves with the Edelbrock unit right?

I really want to mount the box in the car but the harness pt #60101 say's for mounting on the intake. Is it shorter then the one that comes with the box to make it cleaner or does the box not come with a harness?

Order MSD 6010 and you get a long harness with it as well as a serial cable for hooking it up to your laptop.
