Just thought I'd show everyone my new 96 SS that I just got this week, not a LS1 I know, but still a NICE rare LT1 SS. Pics aren't that great as the weather sucks here in Indiana and didn't want to get it all dirty after washing her before I put her away, but here you go...

Because I wanted an SS and because the LT1 has 20,000 less miles, is more rare, more optioned, and in better condition. I like my Z alot and is in good condition and clean too, just wanted something a little better I guess. I'm happy with it though. If I ever find a black LS1 SS in the same condition or better as my SS my dad will buy the LT1 SS for of me, so that is always and option, but it will have to be in really good condition and in my price range.

Right now:
Fully optioned SLP car
Strut Tower Brace
Subframe Connectors
Intake elbow
Chrome SLP ZR1's with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS tires
Painted calipers with camaro lettering and drilled rotors

Future:
Tint
Clear or blacked out corners
Headers and ORY
Then I will see if I like the sound of the 2OTL exhaust or if I want to switch to GMMG, we'll see

Since there were only 2,410 SS's made in 96 I'm going keep it pretty close to stock, just a couple bolt ons and apperance mods here and there.

Great plans for the car. Georgous car in fact. Rare car you have there, a Z28/SS is a good find.

I'd suggest the LS1 brake upgrade, tint, you should try the smoked corners I think it'd look right and of course LTs and ORY and KEEP THE 2OTL!!!

Two reasons I'm guessing :

1- The LS1 isn't an SS. (SSs have higher Value of course)..

2-Because there are MILLIONS of LS1 cars out there and only 2410 96 SSs, 831 in red to be exact but NOT millions (Not to talk about the look and the future value).

Nice ride man. I love the LT1 SS's. I've wanted a 96-97 SS for a long time and I will have one someday, hopefully. It's going to look real nice once you get some tint on the windows. How dark are you going to go?
