Tony Pedergon (NHRA) car just blew up... Car just exploded racing John Force. 
to the safety crew who designed the new safer rides for those guys. He was okay due to his safety suit.

He seems to be ok but you should have seen his fire suit. The knees were burned out of it.

Wonder if there's a vid of it yet. Thank God he's ok, I talked to him and John Force in their pits 2 years ago at the Nationals and they both seem like genuinely nice guys.
On a side note, I asked John Force how it feels to drive a funny car and he told me: imagine blacking out for a second and a half when you launch and wake up going over 300mph, that's how it feels. He said he used to black out all the time but he's gotten used to it of course. I thought that was the coolest ****** thing ever.. I even told him I drag race my Camaro, he told me to keep at it if that's something I like and to not street race.. lmao

That was sick, it was just a ball a flame, the explosion lifted the rear of the dragster up briefly. Tony Pedregon sure can drive that son of bitch. I don't know how he steered that thing engulfed in flame! They think the gear drive broke, keeping the valves open and loading the engine up with fuel, then kabooom!
