Default adjustable timing gearset needed for cam install in LS6?

I'm doing the MTI X1 cam kit in my 01 Z06 and I'm wondering if an adjustable timing set is required or can I just install the cam straight up and generally get it close?

Are you going to degree the cam (do you have the tools)? If not, then no sense in buying an adjustable setup.

You could check it dot to dot first to see where the intake center line is, if OK then you are home free. If not, then you will need an adjustable set to get you there.
