Drag Racing Tech - Suspension! What am I doing wrong?

Ok the only suspension i have done at the moment is non-adjustable UMI lca's, torque arm, panhard, bilstein hd's, and running on 26 x 10.00 x 15 MT Drags. My traction has gone to hell since i left my 28" tall tires because they were too much and i was only trapping 5600 rpms on the big end. What is a major missing suspension component that im missing or need to upgrade? The track prep wasn't the greatest but i want to be able to have suspension to work under any kind of conditions where im not lighting up my slicks coming out of the hole. The car is making 540 rwhp on the bottle through a 4l60e with a 3400 stall, 12 bolt 33 spline axles with 3.73 gears. Thanks in advance!

how old are the tires? what kind of torque arm do you have? relocators? shocks?

theres no reason you shouldn't be able to 60 foot in the 1.4's with the right components and good tires.

The tires were brand new with the first passes put on them today. All my suspension parts are non-adjustable UMI's and i just have a set of Bilstein HD's with about 3k miles on them. I thought relocators were just for lowered cars?

28's, 3:73 and nitrous-this combo should work fine with a relatively small shot (150 at the most).

Bilstein's on all four? What springs do you have upfront? If you are hazing the tires right after the hit then you're probably not transferring enough weight. The nose needs to be looser. I assume the front sway bar is off. Is the rear of your car squating (unloading on the rear tires)? -Mark

you will need a set of front adjustable shocks and a set of relocators. yes, relocators are for lowered cars, but they do help launch traction due to a geometry change in the suspension. they really work for what they cost.

i have Strange single adjustables, front or rear, for 139.00 each shipped, front hypercoil springs for 129.00 with shocks.
weld on(the only thing i'd use) relocators for 55.00 plain, 65.00 coated.

Maybe it should but it doesnt. Crossing the traps at 5600 RPM's isn't what im looking for.

Yeah i have bilsteins on all four. Im running stock springs and the front sway bar was off as well.

Thanks for the info i didn't know that about the relocators!
