Default Have you priced a roll cage

Blanco,
When was the last time you had a custom cage made? My C5 ZO6 is going to Speedware next week. 4.8K would be great mine will be 6-6.5K. I am being very picky on tucking it up tight and hiding as much of it as possible. Now the link was not working so I could not see if the above car was a hack job.

Well you got me there Jeff but from what I've seen price wise and from whats been posted on here and looking around I figured on about 2400 being around max. Wolfes full cage was 2100.

Just seemed odd to me that someone would have more money into the cage of a slow car than into the motor to make it quicker. Now maybe I'm missing something and the thing was a screamer from the factory and didnt require that much to make it fast. I believe in safety but if the thing cant get out of its own way then it doesnt need a million dollar cage to be safe? Unless your looking to be a bowling ball I guess. Just seemd odd.. maybe I dont know the rest of the story.. wheres Paul Harvey?

That's $2100 just for the steel! Installing a cage is a huge investment in time and equipment. I worked for 6 hours yesterday to install 1 top side bar and didn't finish. It looks like another 4 or 5 hours are left ON THAT ONE BAR.

And to top it off, the smoke leaked out of my plasma cutter. Now I have to get that fixed too.

WOW, they dont talk about that stuff..lol Damn, well that gives me a little insight. Maybe that bolt in 6pt isnt a bad option for a car like mine.. if I get that fast..
