Default Cruise Control on a 94z

I'm cleaning up my engine bay this winter and have taken out the cruise control module. Since this car is being built strictly for the track, I don't need cruise control. Is there going to be any problem with just leaving it out when I reassemble? I'm thinking that along with weight reduction, I might get a slightly better response time without the extra cable on the throttle body.

Shouldnt be a problem leaving it out. If youre removing it with the idea that your throttle response will improve, I wouldnt get my hopes up. Throttle response will be affected by modifying the engine itself, not the cables.

Yea, your probably right but every little bit helps. Last winter I gutted the interior, put in a 4:10 rear, and put pizza cutters on the front and that gained me over 1.5 seconds. My policy on this project is that if I don't need it, IT'S GONE.
