Default Dealer refuses to do Crank position relearn

I just had my pcm reprogrammed and it requires a crank position relay (people i had tune it said i should do it because i gave the a truck 5.6 pcm instead of a 5.7). THey said the tune would still work but require a crank position relearn. SO i take it to TWO local dealers and they are scared to touch the car because its not a chevy (its a ls1 power 280z).

My question is there someone locally (orange county, California) who can do this for me? im looking for either a shop or someone who has a Diy programmer who can do a crank postion relearn without reflashing the pcm.

can anyone help? im pretty much screwed without it.

i would think you should be able to find a shop that would do it. Any shop with a decent scan can do it. I got mine done at a local performance shop, it only cost like $20.

Not sure but shouldnt any tuner be able to do it...I would contact Ryne at Cunningham Motorsports and ask him...I am planning on taking my H/C car to him for a tune and have heard nothing but good things about him and answered all of my questions over the phone.

It might help if you posted your location so people looking at this thread would be able to point you in the right direction.

That is a sick *** car you have there sir. Major props.

You have to find someone with a GM TECH 2 scanner to do the crank pos. relearn. It's no big deal, and takes all of 2 minutes. Just call around to a few shops and find one that has a Tech 2 scanner.
