Just bought race style LT's, now what do i do about air/egr?
ok guys i have a few questions, first off i just purchased a set of pacesetter coated long tube headers race style from z28_dad (still waitin to get them in the mail), but obviously this is going to entail deleting the air/egr systems, SOO... is there a write up on how to delete these effectively? I'm assuming there must be a kit to plug up all the holes left behind,etc.. (you know what i mean)
any info you guys have on doing this will be greatly appreciated!
oh and for the record i also have/am installying a k&n cai, lt4 hotcam w/springs and proform 1.6rr's, intend on true duals w/x pipe (summit 2.5" kit)

Well first of all, I do remember there being a write up somewhere, but its not very hard. Your AIR pump and fittings will go in the trash. And you EGR valve and the tube that goes to the passenger exhaust manifold will get plugged by egr block plates(they sell them on ebay). Plus you'll need to go to your local auto parts store to get a vacuum cap to block off a vacuum hole that comes from where the egr valve vacuum line connects to the intake manifold. I'm about ready to install race style coated headers also! lol. Right now I'm just buying all the stuff that I need(since I'm removing stock manifolds, might as well do a plug and wire change wihile its easy). Right now I'm just waiting to get my OTVC wire sets, new plugs, O2 extensions, better header gaskets(the paper ones that pacesetter provides seem to suck! lol) and the y pipe.

thanks for those man, but they didn't really go into too much detail about air/egr mostly install procedure.
I'd really like a write up on what air lines to disconnect, holes to plug, open ex-air inlets etc...
anyone ?
