Will a bearing press be required to install new bearings onto a new carrier if the carrier is in the 30's F & the bearings are heated to around 200-250 F, or will the bearings slide on w/ a little push? Thank-you

The bearings won't slide on. You will either need a press, or a special tool to beat it on with (allows the hit to be spread all over the face of the bearing so it doesn't go on cockeyed). I would not heat them up, either. Just my .02

if you heat them up to put them on ... if you ever want to get it off .... you never will.. ben there done that..

Use the right tool for the job, have them pressed on otherwise you will open the door for failure. Any machine shop should be able to press them on for about $20.00.

Thank-you all for the comments. Bearings should be here later this week & I will find a local shop to press them on.
