Default WTF is wrong with my blinkers??

alright, well when I bought the car, the previous owner had installed the synchronizing blinkers(im not a fan, would like to change that at some point, once I figure out how), but anyways. The light blinked insanely fast. Now, it changes. Sometimes it blinks fast, sometimes it blinks insanely slow, or just doesnt blink at all. sometimes the turn signal on my guage cluster will just stay on, not blink or anything. Anyways tonight, I noticed that the light wasnt turning on at all on my guage cluster, and then started working again a few minutes later... not sure what the deal is but its annoying the **** out of me...

Whats the best way to get my blinkers to work again, non synchronizing, and blink somewhat slowly? can anyone local help?

Not to hijack, but mine blink fast as well. I'm also curious how to get them to blink more slowly.

Not 100% for the OP, but for the second guy (maybe the OP also), it means that you're bulb is about to burn out... Just change the bulb...

Sometimes if it quits all together then you're relay will need replacing.. One of the two I'd say

I cant almost bet $ that the front blinkers locking plugs are burnt up and trashed.

It's probably a short. When you have a burnt bulb that no longer lights, it'll cause the blinker to just stay on. If you have a short (due to corrosion or something), it'll be sporadic.

Sounds to me like the flasher is going out.....the reason why it is blinking fast is because of the flasher as well. I thought I told you that when you picked up the car, could be wrong though. You have to get what is called an "emergency flasher" in order for them to blink at normal speed, can get it at any parts store for less than $5. If you want to put them back to stock all together, it is really not very hard to do. Take the taillights out, there is a black thing hanging back there behind each light (looks like a vibrator, best way to describe it, lol)with wires comming out of it and going to each light socket. Cut the wires going from that black thing to the sockets (but do not cut the wires going to the sockets) and then tape off the ends of the bare wires. If you can't figure it out call me and I will walk you through it.--Tony

The car is going to fall apart on you, sell it to me for scrap metal..

Probably a bulb, I would start there..
